A community band cannot survive on love of music alone.  If you have ever enjoyed a concert by the Haywood Community Band and would like to see us continue bringing quality band music to Haywood County, we encourage you to donate today.
The Haywood Community Band is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization consisting of approximately 40 musicians and 3 conductors, all volunteers who have a passion for performing fine band music.  In addition to our monthly concerts on the 3rd Sunday of the month, May to October, at the Maggie Valley Pavilion, we perform other concerts in the community: a patriotic concert at the Haywood County Courthouse on July 4th, at Lake Junaluska Conference center during the summer, and the season’s grand finale at the First United Methodist Church in Waynesville.
But we do much more than performing!  Through our generous donors we provide loan instruments to beginning band students in Haywood and Macon Counties.  Donated instruments are repaired and loaned free of charge to deserving youth.  There is also a scholarship program for high school band students to attend leadership camps.
In addition, the band has growing pains as well.  We continually have a need to add new and fresh music to the band’s library and expand the instrument inventory, particularly percussion and large wind instruments.
Your contributions help ensure a vibrant and enduring future for your Haywood Community Band and a continued musical inspiration for our entire community.  Gifts of any amount are greatly appreciated and really make a difference.  Here are a few suggested donation levels.  Your donations are tax deductible.
